ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The St. Catherine track and field team appeared at the University of St. Thomas Tom Cat Invite on Wednesday in a field of Division I, II, and III teams.
Junior
Morgan Brandt debuted in the steeplechase finishing with a time of 14:05.11. Sophomore
Brenna Nelson and first-year
Lily Harvey competed in the 5K. Nelson finished with a time of 21.52.06 and Harvey came in right behind at 22:51.75.
Rookie
Elle Geislinger had a PR finish in the 100-meter hurdles event finishing seventh overall. First-year
Burnices Barlue also appeared in the event finishing 15th just short of her PR time at 17.44. Rounding out the rookie class on Wednesday was first-year
Madi Genz coming in ninth place in the 100-meter dash with a PR time of 13.08.
Sophomore
Erin Doyle finished 14th out of over 34 competitors in the 200-meter dash with a PR time of 28.49.
In the field,
Reilee Schepper,
Maclairen Strong and Doyle appeared in the long jump. Schepper finished tying her PR mark of 5.05m coming in eighth overall. Doyle was just shy of her PR coming in 18th with a mark of 4.31m. Schepper and Barlue finished sixth and seventh, respectively in the triple jump with Schepper jumping 10.52m and Barlue going 10.39m.
Lauren Isaacson was tenth in the discus with a mark of 37.90m and
Bryana Leverentz was the runner-up in the javelin throw with a mark of 37.85m.
