INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Senior
Jordyn Wentzel became the first-ever NCAA Division III National Champion in any sport for St. Catherine University winning the 200-yard breaststroke with a national record time of 2:10.06 on the final day of the Division III Championships in Indianapolis. The Wildcats finished 10th overall, another program-best with a score of 171.
The final day of competition started out with senior
Maggie Menso claiming third overall in the 1650 with a time of 16:43.96 to reset her own program 1000 record from 2018 with a time of 10:07.50. Menso also earned her second individual All-America honor with the finish.

Macy Klein finished 11th in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 50.87 to earn All-America Honorable Mention and junior
Annie Voss came in 13th place to reset the program record with a lifetime best time of 2:01.58.
The highlight of the day was Wentzel's performance in the 200-yard breaststroke, setting a new program, MIAC, Meet, and Division III record, and the first-ever national title for the Wildcats. St. Catherine alumnae swimmer Suzanne (Heidelberg) Anderson '83 was named an AIAW national champion in 1981 in the 200-yard individual medley, the year prior to St. Kate's joining the NCAA.
St. Kate's closed out the outstanding week of competition with an eighth-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:27.70. The team of Wentzel, Klein, Menso, and Voss also earned All-America honors for their finish.
Overall, St. Kate's claimed 16 All-America honors over the week and seven All-America honorable mention nods with rookie

Program records were reset in the 200-yard breaststroke, 200-yard backstroke, 1000-yard freestyle, 800-yard freestyle relay, 400-yard medley relay, 200-yard freestyle relay, 50-yard freestyle, and the 200-yard individual medley.
