ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University basketball team held Macalester College to 31-percent shooting on Wednesday evening at Leonard Center defeating the Scots 55-47. With the win, the Wildcats end their seven-game loss streak with three games remaining before playoffs.

Sam Orth posted a game-high 20 points with nine rebounds, just one rebounds shy of a double-double. Orth added two steals and one block. Senior
Katie Benjamin recorded her first career double-double with 13 points and 11 boards.
St. Kate's held the lead throughout the game getting to a 12-point advantage in the third quarter. The Wildcats dominated the Scots outrebounding them 49-37 adding 16 second chance points.
The Wildcats are on the road for the next two game heading to Hamline on Saturday, February 12 and to the College of Saint Benedict on Monday, February 14. St. Catherine returns to
Butler Center for Senior Day on Wednesday, February 16 hosting Saint Mary's University at 7 pm.
