ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University hockey claimed victors over the College of St. Scholastica for the first time in program history on Saturday with a score of 6-3. The Wildcats and Saints split the conference series one-one with the Wildcats improving to 7-14-1 with a MIAC record of 3-11.

Gabby Bodin tallied her first collegiate goal 3 minutes into the first period with an assist from rookie
Joslin Mumm. St. Kate's took the 2-0 advantage at 10:49 into the period with a goal from sophomore

The Wildcats added a short-handed goal from junior
Laura Denchfield to go up 3-0 and added one more while on the power-play opportunity for the 4-0 lead headed into the first intermission. St. Kate's fourth goal was scored by junior
Marie Reimer with help from sophomore
Madison Fleming.
Both teams were unable to score in the second period and scored a combined five goals in the third. The Saints scored three straight goals within five minutes to get within one with five minutes left in the game. Sophomore
Maiah Robert found the back of the net on an empty net while Reimer added the extra empty-net goal for insurance with less than 20 seconds in the game. Reimer's goal was assisted by Fleming and senior
Veronica Gruett.
Senior
Elizabeth Kubicek earned the win making 28 saves in the game.
St. Kate's has two regular-season contests remaining traveling to Northfield on Friday to take on St. Olaf at 7 pm. The Wildcats return to Drake Arena on Saturday, February 19 for a 2 pm game against the Oles on Senior Day.
