ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University soccer team earned their third shutout in a row with a 2-0 defeat of Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) foe, Augsburg University. The Wildcats are now 10-4-2 on the season with a MIAC record of 6-2-1, good for third place in the conference with two regular season games on the schedule remaining.

Emily Hinze was responsible for the game-winner scoring her first collegiate goal in the 16th minute of play. Hinze's goal was assisted by fifth-year Jess for her fifth of the season.

Amanda Elton scored her eleventh goal of the year in the 49th minute tied for first in the MIAC for goals and shots while ranking second for shots on goal. Elton's goal was assisted by first-year
Natalie Pfleger, her third of the season.

Kate Praetz secured the shutout making four saves in the game and her fifth shutout of the season.
St. Kate's is home again on Tuesday facing Carleton College at 3:30 pm. The Wildcats close out the regular season on the road Saturday, October 29 traveling to Northfield, Minnesota at 1 pm.
