Wildcats blank Saints 3-0 on the road

DULUTH, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University soccer team claimed a 3-0 defeat of Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) foe, College of St. Scholastica on a snowy day in Duluth. The win improves the Wildcats record to 8-4-2 with a conference record of 5-2-1. 

Fifth-year Sofia Campbell got things started for the Wildcats scoring her first of the season with help from Kallan Tuominen in the 12th minute. St. Kate's second goal was scored by senior Amanda Elton netting her eighth of the season assisted by fifth-year defender, Jess Bartz. 

With less than a minute in the first half, Tuominen added her third of the season scoring the Wildcats third of the game, assisted by Campbell.  

Junior Kate Praetz played 90 minutes on Saturday claiming the win making three saves in the game. Campbell led the shot count for St. Kate's with three on goal while Elton followed with two on net. 

The Wildcats return to St. Paul on Tuesday for Senior Day against the University of Minnesota Morris at 3:30 pm.
