ROME, Ga. -- Senior St. Catherine University tennis student-athlete,
Kelsey Dorr completed her appearance at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Fall Cup on Friday after three matches in the women's singles open round.
In her first match on Thursday, Dorr was paired up against Sarah Pertsemlidis from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) playing indoors due to rain in the Rome area. Dorr fell to MIT 6-1, 6-1 to move onto the consolation bracket.
Her second match of the day was against the No. 3 seed, Katherine Wurster from Claremon-Mudd-Scripps College with Dorr dropping the match 6-3, 6-1.
Dorr's had one final match at the ITA Fall Cup facing Miranda Yuan from the University of Chicago. In her final match, Dorr had her best performance of the weekend pressure U-Chicago in the first set but was defeated with a match score of 7-5, 6-1.
Dorr and the balance of the Wildcats will compete again in February, opening the championship season at Baseline Tennis Center against Martin Luther College.
