Soccer edged out by Cobbers on the road

MOORHEAD, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University soccer team dropped a battle on the road falling to the Concordia College Cobbers on Wednesday 1-0. The loss puts St. Kate's at 4-2-1 in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) tied for third in the standings.

The first half was uneventful on both sides of the pitch with both teams posting just two shots on goal. Coming out of the half, St. Kate's pressured Concordia with six shots in ten minutes. It wasn't enough though as the Cobbers took advantage of the Wildcats finding the back of the net with on their lone shot on goal of the half.

Fifth-year Lauren Witte and junior Kallie Tuominen led the shot count for St. Kate's with two a piece on goal.

Junior Kelsey Dugan was in net for the complete game allowing one goal and making four saves.
