INDIANOLA, Iowa -- St. Catherine soccer picked up a 3-1 non-conference road win on Tuesday evening against the Simpson College Storm. St. Kate's improves 5-1-2 overall returning to conference play Saturday.
Junior
Amanda Elton collected a pair of goals in the Wildcats victory netting the first one in the 50th minute with help from first-year
Kendra Lingman. Elton's second goal was in the 87th minute assisted by Amora Valenica. Elton ranks second in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) this season with six goals overall including three game-winners.
St. Kate's first goal was scored by senior
Taylor Johnson at 1:21 into the game for her first goal of the season.
Sophomore
Kelsey Dugan earned the win in net for St. Kate's allowing just one goal.
The Wildcats return to campus for a 1 pm game against Gustavus Adolphus Saturday, October 2.
