SAINT PETER, Minn. -- The St. Catherine tennis team suffered its third conference defeat of the season dropping an 8-1 decision to Gustavus Adolphus.
In doubles play, the Wildcats dropped all three matches to the Gusties giving them an early 3-0 lead. At No. 1
Kelsey Dorr and
Bri Dorr were defeated 8-2. In the No. 2 match,
Ella Graham and
Reilee Schepper fell 8-4 and at No. 3,
Elsa Joly and
Erica Wing lost 8-3.
In singles action, Gustavus won five out of the six matches over St. Kate's with K. Dorr clinching the lone point at No. winning the tiebreaker set 12-10 over the Gusties No. 1.
B. Dorr fell at No. 2 6-0, 6-0 and Graham dropped No. 3 6-1, 6-0. Schepper played No. 4 singles falling 6-2, 6-2 and Joly fell 6-3, 6-0 in the five singles match.
Noelle Slezak dropped the No. 6 singles match 6-2, 6-2.
St. Catherine is scheduled to host Hamline University on Tuesday, April 27 at 4 pm at home.
