NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- St. Catherine tennis picked up a 5-4 victory over St. Olaf College on the road Friday evening. With the win, the Wildcats improve to 6-2 overall and 4-2 in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC).
The Oles claimed the first two points of the match with victories at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. St. Kate's claimed a crucial point at No. 1 played by sophomore

The Wildcats went on to clinch the conference win with points at No. 6, No. 5, No. 1, and No. 4. First-year
Noelle Slezak won at six singles 6-4, 6-2 to tie the match at 2-2. Sophomore
Elsa Joly gave the Wildcats the 3-2 lead at No. 5 winning 6-3, 6-2 and K. Dorr claimed a point at No. 1 going 6-3, 6-3. Junior
Reilee Schepper played a tight match at No. 4 dropping the first set 6-3 to come back and with a 6-0 win to force the tiebreaker. Schepper earned the team win with a 10-5 tiebreaker victory at No. 4.
St. Kate's sits in fifth place in the highly competitive conference with three conference matches plus one non-conference match remaining in the regular season. St. Catherine takes a break from the MIAC schedule on Monday, April 19 hosting the University of Northwestern-St. Paul at 5:30 pm at Baseline Tennis Center.
