MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- The St. Catherine softball team picked up a pair of Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) wins on Saturday at Augsburg University. St. Catherine improves to 8-6 overall with a conference record of 3-1 after today's sweep of the Auggies.
GAME ONE | St. Catherine 9, Augsburg 1 (5 innings)

The Auggies scored their lone run in the bottom of the first inning before St. Kate's tallied six runs in the top of the second. In total, seven Wildcats' record runs in the five inning game led by Brunn and Huepfel, each with two. Huefpel was 3 for 3 with two runs, five RBI, one home run, and a double.
Kathryn Proper earned the win in the circle in game one pitching four innings facing 19 batters with four strikeouts.
GAME TWO | St. Catherine 11, Augsburg 3
St. Kate's had a season high 18 hits on game two against the Auggies led by junior
Lindsay Burr going 4 for 4 with three runs and one RBI. The Wildcats and Auggies were scoreless until the top of the third when Ehde brought sophomore
Julia Azure in to get on the board.
Junior
Annabelle Schutte's double to left center brought two across the plate in the fourth before St. Kate's tallied a four-run fifth inning. The Auggies tallied two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning plus one more in the bottom of the sixth. The Wildcats went onto add four more runs in the sixth and seventh innings for the victory.

St. Kate's is on the road again on Sunday traveling to Concordia College-Moorhead for a MIAC doubleheader at 1 & 3 pm.
