MOORHEAD, Minn. -- The St. Catherine basketball team opened league play on Saturday traveling to Moorhead to face the Concordia College Cobbers. St. Catherine fell 63-58 to Concordia despite a strong push in the fourth quarter.

Katie Benjamin and
Brooke Torvik each had five points totaling 15 of the Wildcats 22 points in 20 minutes.
The Wildcats led the charge in the second-half with rookie Greta Schmniowski scoring eight points off the bench. The forward was 3 for 4 knocking down two three pointers in just six minutes on the court for the half.
Benjamin led defensively with six rebounds and one block tallying eight points in the game. Orth was 3 for 4 from the charity line with four rebounds and one block and junior
Bree Glynn tallied seven points with four boards and one steal.
St. Kate's will travel to non-conference foe, the University of Northwestern-St. Paul on Wednesday for a 7 pm game. St. Kate's will play in front of their home crowd for the first time this season on Saturday, November 20 at 1 pm against St. Olaf.
