ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The St. Catherine volleyball team swept the visiting Macalester College Scots on Senior Night in straight sets inside of
Butler Center. The win is the program's eighth consecutive victory over the Scots and sixth 3-0 victory against Macalester.
St. Kate's held the Scots to just 43 points on Saturday with a 25-10 set one score. The Wildcats took set two with a score of 25-16 and clinched the win in set three 25-17.
Sophomore
Maggie Rosen and first-year
Lexie Petrick each added nine kills in the match followed by senior
Bryana Leverentz with seven. Leverentz added two solo blocks in the match plus contributed a block assist.
Senior
Lauren Isaacson and
Julia Weiler recorded 16 and 14 digs, respectively. Isaacson also had six kills, two block assists and one ace. Senior
Grace Amacher had one ace plus four digs playing in the purple and gold for the final time.
Juniors
Abbi Harker and Rebecca Jurgensen also appeared in their final match at St. Kate's as the result of graduation on the spring.
To go along with the program's final game of the season, head coach
Todd Nelson also secured his 50th career win now ranking him second in the program.
