MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The St. Catherine University tennis team improved their record to 2-0 with a 9-0 victory of non-conference foe, the University of Minnesota-Morris at Baseline Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Minnesota. 

In doubles competition, St. Kate's swept Morris 8-0 in all three matches. Bri and Kelsey Dorr played in the No. 1 spot earning the 8-0 victory improving their doubles record to 2-0. Sophomore Reilee Schepper and first-year Sofia Walker played as a doubles team for the first time this season defeating the Cougars No. 2 doubles team with a perfect score of 8-0. The final Wildcats doubles team of first-years Monica Zink and Elsa Joly played in the No. 3 spot and also took home the 8-0 victory. 

In singles play, K. Dorr played in the No. 1 spot sweeping the Cougars player 6-0, 6-0. Walker played in the No. 2 singles position taking home the 6-0, 6-2 victory. In the No. 3 spot was B. Dorr who like her sister won her match 6-0, 6-0 and senior Alisha Wiedmeier played as the No. 4 singles player, also going 6-0, 6-0. Senior Maddy Knoll and junior Ella Graham played in the No. 5 and No. 6 singles matches, respectively, and both defeated the Cougars 6-0, 6-1. 

St. Catherine travels to Moorhead on Sunday opening the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) season with a 10:30 am match with the Cobbers.
