ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Wildcats suffered their first Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) loss of the season on Saturday, falling to the Carleton Knights 4-0. Carleton got the scoring started early, with Madeline Marker netting a goal four minutes into the game. Just under four minutes later, Nora Mertz added another one for the Knights.
Senior Maddie Connors led the Wildcats with three of the team's ten shots on goal. Sophomore Taylor Johnson and senior Amanda Carey each added two, but St. Kate's was shut out by goalie Anna Roethler.
Senior Tayler Koop finished with ten saves, as Rainey Tilley and Cate Patterson both had second half goals for the Knights.
St. Kate's looks to bounce back tomorrow, playing Luther College at home at 2:00.
