Box Score MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - St. Catherine tennis has had a great start to the spring season picking up their first Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) win against a competitive Macalester College team 8-1. St. Catherine is now 3-1 overall and 1-1 in the MIAC.

Aubrey Eckstrom defeated the Scots No. 1 doubles team 8-3 for St. Kate's first point of the day. Senior
Leah Obert played with sophomore
Ella Graham in the No. 3 doubles match also defeating their opponent 8-3. The No. 2 doubles match was close going into as junior
Maddy Knoll played with first-year
Reilee Schepper fell to the Scots in the tiebreaker set 7-2.
St. Kate's swept the singles competition with Dorr defeating the Scots' Laurel Hickey 6-3, 6-4. Wiedmeier played a great match defeating Della Brown, the Scots No. 2 singles player 6-3, 6-1.
Eckstrom played a tough match in No. 3 singles winning the first set 6-2 and dropping the second set 4-6. The deciding tiebreaker set went in favor of Eckstrom 10-8 for the match win.
Knoll defeated her opponent in the No. 4 spot 6-1 in both sets with Obert overpowering at No. 5 going 6-3 and 6-0. The final Wildcat singles player was Graham at No. 6 winning the first set 6-4 and the second 6-0.
The Wildcats return to Baseline Tennis Center on Saturday, March 2 facing #31 Carleton College at 6:30 p.m.
