ST. PAUL, Minn. - St. Catherine dropped the second to last Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) regular season game to St. Thomas with a final score of 1-0 on Wednesday afternoon. The Wildcats are 11-6 with a conference record of 7-3 clinching playoffs for the fifth consecutive season.
After a scoreless first half, St. Thomas scored the lone goal of the game six minutes out of the break. St. Catherine remained calm despite the deficient and controlled play over the Tommies for much of the half.Â
The Wildcats gave it one last push late in the game with a shot hitting the left post skimming away on a spinning ball.Â
Sophomore
Lauren Witte was the Wildcats shots leader against the Tommies firing off both of the teams shots on goal and four shots total.Â
Goalkeeper
Tayler Koop had six saves in the conference game allowing the one goal in 90 minutes.Â
The regular season will conclude on Saturday, Nov. 2 with Bethel University coming to campus facing St. Kate's at 1 p.m. on senior day.Â
