Lauren Witte and first-year Mandy Elton had a day in Moorhead both scoring two goals in the 5-1 win against Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) foe, the Concordia Cobbers. Junior
Rachael Holm added the Wildcats final goal for St. Catherine, netting her first collegiate goal.
Witte scored her eighth goal of the season in the 28th minute assisted by Elton getting the Wildcats on the scoreboard after nearly 30 minutes of scoreless play. St. Catherine's second goal was also scored by Witte this time assisted by senior
Amanda Carey. Witte's ninth goal of the season puts her in the No. 5 spot in a three-way tie, and just two goals from the No. 1 spot.
Elton's just second goal of her career was scored in the 41st minute with an assist from sophomore
Emma Watt. The rookie striker scored her second goal of the game and third of the season in the 54th minute assisted by senior captain
Julia Rupp.
Rounding out the scoring for the Wildcats was Holm coming off the bench to score just 28 second after Elton with an assist from Witte. Holm had three shots in the game, all on goal.

Tayler Koop finished a perfect game playing 70 minutes facing just one shot. Rookie goalkeeper
Molly Rudolph came in for the final 20 minutes of play allowing the Cobbers one goal in the 89th minute.
Elton tallied a team best four shots and two on goal while Witte posted three shots and two on goal.
St. Catherine returns home on Saturday, October 5 when Augsburg University travels across the river from Minneapolis for a 1 pm conference game. The game will be played in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness and Hope Lodge. The St. Catherine University Wildcat Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will be collecting donations for Hope Lodge.
