Taylor Johnson led the Wildcats to a 3-1 win over the Hamline Pipers on Friday afternoon scoring two goals in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) game. T. Johnson had help from fellow classmate
Lauren Witte who scored the final goal for the purple and gold.
T. Johnson scored her first goal in just the second minute of play netting a long ball unassisted taking an early one-goal lead.
The Pipers scored what would be their only goal in the ninth minute of play to knot it up at 1-1.
T. Johnson's earned the game-winning goal in the 16th minute assisted by first-year
Amanda Elton for her seventh of the season.
The Wildcats' final goal was scored in the 63rd minute from Witte, her tenth of the season and assisted again by first-year
Amanda Elton. Elton's assist was her eighth of the season, leading the team and ranked second in the MIAC this season.
St. Kate's is home again Tuesday, October 15 hosting St. Olaf College at 3:30 pm.
