WINONA, Minn. - The St. Catherine University hockey team fell to the Saint Mary's University Cardinals on the road Saturday 1-0.
The Cardinals scored at 9:36 in the first period for the lone goal of the game. Despite the loss, St. Kate's outshot Saint Mary's 28-18 in 60 minutes of play.
St. Kate's was led by defenders
Tori Thompson and
Veronica Gruett with five shots on goal a piece. Overall, eleven Wildcats had shots on goal in the road game.
The Wildcats return home Friday taking on College of Saint Benedict at 7:30 PM at Drake Arena.
