MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The St. Catherine University basketball team fell to Augsburg University, 79-72, Wednesday evening in overtime on the road. The Wildcats record is now 4-5 overall and 2-2 in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC).

Danica Cambrice had 22 points and 6 rebounds before fouling out early in overtime. In her first game back after sitting out last week with an injury, senior
Audra Clark had her first double-double of the season with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Junior guard
Jackie Radford was the third Wildcat in double-digit figures with 14 points, 7 boards, and 4 steals.
The Wildcats were slow to start in the match-up with the conference foe as the Auggies took an early 6 point lead after the first 10 minutes. St. Kate's took the lead at 5:47in the second quarter with a layup from Cambrice. The Wildcats outscored the Auggies 24-17 in the second quarter for a 40-39 halftime score.
St. Catherine held the lead through the third quarter getting their largest lead at 5:02 at 8 points. Augsburg battled back against St. Kate's tying it at 4:20 in the fourth quarter at 60. Augsburg battled back to take the 3 point lead with only 1:16 remaining. Clark made a clutch three-point basket to tie the score again with second remaining. The Auggies took a three point lead again as Cambrice scored a three pointer to force overtime at 68-68.
The Auggies were too much for the Wildcats in OT scoring first in the extra five minutes of play. St. Kate's was unable to make a basket until the 1:55 mark ultimately falling 79-72.
St. Catherine travels to Eau Claire, Wisconsin for a non-conference game Saturday, Dec. 15 at 3 PM.
