Biography
What do you enjoy most about being a student-athlete at St. Kate's?: Camaraderie with teammates, friends who push me on the court and in the classroom, and experiences I would not have, such as traveling every year.
2018-19: Cambrice appeared in 21 games, starting 17. She averaged 15.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game. She had 38 steals and 14 blocks, and shot 47% from the field. Cambrice's solid year led to her second All-MIAC distinction, and she also received MIAC athlete of the week and D3hoops.com athlete of the week.
2017-18: Cambrice had a breakout season with the Wildcats in 2017-18, earning All-MIAC honors for the first time in her career. She scored in double-digits 15 of the 16 games she played for St. Kate's during the season and became the first player in program history to record three 30+ point performances in a single season. She led the team in every offensive category, including points (308), points per game (19.3) and field goal percentage (57.3) at the end of the season. She was second in the MIAC in both points per game (19.3) and field goal percentage (57.3) during the season and ranked in the top-10 in rebounds per game (6.5; No. 8), steals (41; No. 10) and ranked No. 11 in blocked shots (19). She also lead the MIAC in points per game vs. conference opponents (20.6) and was a two time conference Athlete-of-the-Week during the regular season.
2016-17: Cambrice was named to the MIAC All-First Year team after an outstanding first season with the Wildcats.Cambrice played 584 total minutes and averaged 23.4 minutes per game, allowing her to make a huge impact on the floor both on offense and defense. She scored 170 points and pulled in 96 rebounds, which ranked third on the team. In addition to her skill on offense, Cambrice was also a force on defense for the Wildcats. She was third on the team in blocks (12) and fourth in both defensive rebounds (57) and steals (34).
High School: As a senior, Cambrice helped lead St. Croix Lutheran to its fourth-straight conference title and third consecutive appearance in the section finals. She was named team MVP and First Team All-Conference honors as a junior and senior and was named All-State Honorable Mention as a senior in 2015-16. Cambrice also ran track at St. Croix Lutheran.
I'm proud to be a Wildcat because: I attend a school where I am taught to claim an education, not just receive it. I am proud to be a Wildcats because I'm surrounded by people who encourage and push me to be my best on the court and in the classroom.
Personal: Cambrice chose St. Kate's because of the small school environment, the campus, and basketball coaching staff. Off the court, she works with MIPS and BSA and is a member of the ASL Club and CRU. She plans to major in psychology and minor in American Sign Language. Cambrice is the daughter of Michelle and Steve Cambrice.
