MOORHEAD, MINN. – The St. Catherine University basketball team will face another tough Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Wednesday evening. After suffering a 61-56 loss to Carleton College in their conference opener, the Wildcats will try to avoid a 0-2 MIAC as they take on Concordia College at 7 p.m. Wednesday evening.
The road game against Concordia is the first of three MIAC road games for St. Kate's, which will also play the University of St. Thomas and Macalester on the road before returning home on December 16. Fans can watch the Wildcats take on the Cobbers online via

Here are the five things to know before this evening's contest:
12 – First year forward
Kaitlyn Struemke (Somerset, Wis. / Somerset) recorded a career high 12 points in St. Kate's 61-56 loss last Saturday thanks to 55% shooting from the floor. The first year was 5-9 from the floor and 2-2 from behind the arc, marking the best performance of her collegiate career with the Wildcats.
15 – Struemke wasn't the only student-athlete to find success in Saturday's game against the Knights. Sophomore forward
Jackie Radford (St. Paul, Minn. / Cretin-Derham Hall) led the team in rebounds thanks to a career day on the boards. Radford pulled in 15 rebounds, including eight in the second half, breaking her previous career-high of 12 rebounds in a single game.
1-1 – Last season, St. Kate's split its series against Concordia, dropping the first game on the road 85-78 before taking game two 63-61 to knock the Cobbers out of the playoff picture. Currently senior
Audra Clark (Kenyon, Minn. / Kenyon-Wanamingo) scored a career high 26 points in the win over Concordia, a point total she has already matched twice this 2017-18 season. Clark also scored 21 points in the early season loss.
2 – Although the Cobbers lost top scorer Greta Walsh to graduation, they return two starters from the 2016-17 team. Senior Cassidy Rahman is back for her final season with Concordia, while juniors Grace Wilhowe is back to lead the Cobbers this season.
11.3 – St. Kate's is one of the top defensive teams in the MIAC this season. The Wildcats have held opponents to just 59.5 points a game this season and are third in the conference, averaging 11.3 steals per game this season.
