After cruising to its first win of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) season over Saint Mary's University Friday evening, the St. Catherine University hoped for similar resutls in its next conference test against Macalester College. For the second time in three days, the Wildcats remained undefeated after cruising to a 9-0 win over the Scots  Sunday at the University of Minnesota Baseline Tennis Center in Minneapolis.

The Wildcats returned to the strong play they were used to in doubles play with convincing 8-2 wins at all three positions. Kylie Ketcho (Eden Prairie, Minn./Academy of Holy Angels) and Mikinzee Salo (Brainerd, Minn./Brainerd) scored a win over Katelyn Glenna and Maegen O'Herin at the No. 1 spot. Maria Koval (Green Bay, Wis./Notre Dame Academy) and Angie Lorenzen (Mitchell, S.D./Mitchell) defeated Gabby Queenan and Riley Menagh to remain undefeated at the No. 2 position, while Alicia Knoll (Waseca, Minn./Waseca) and Jessica Duda (St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville) did the same with a win over Lily Stein and Gabi Rivera.

Taking a 3-0 lead into singles, the Wildcats continued to dominate with Salo pulling out a straight-set 6-0, 6-0 win over Menagh to lead the way at No. 3 singles. Ketcho was solid for the Wildcats with a 6-0, 6-1 win at the No. 2 position over Queenan, while Knoll went 6-1, 6-0 against O'Herin at No. 5.

Koval grabbed a huge win at the No. 1 spot going 6-1, 6-1 to defeat Glenna. Julia Sporer (Rogers, Minn./Rogers) had a strong showing at the No. 6 spot with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Rivera. Lorenzen claimed the final win of the night at the No. 4 singles spot in a come-from-behind win. She fell 4-6 in the first set to Stein, but rebounded with a 7-5 in the second. She then squeaked out a 12-10 win in the tiebreaker to seal the sweep.

With the win, the Wildcats move to 4-0 on the season and 2-0 in the MIAC. They will take two weeks off before returning to action Saturday, Feb. 28 against St. Olaf College. The match is slated for 3:30 p.m. in Owatonna, Minnesota.
