Hockey battled with Concordia College once again Saturday afternoon. This time, the Cobbers would have just enough to get the 2-1 victory.
Concordia broke the scoreless tie late in the first period on an even strength goal. St. Kate's answered midway through the second period as
Nicki Mosbeck scored, with
Kasey Evans and
Ashley Grell picking up the assist. This time the Cobbers would have the upper hand as they scored the game-winning goal early in the third period and held on for the 2-1 win.
Concordia outshot the Wildcats 29-13 on the day and committed one more penalty.
Once again, an honest assessment by Coach Marshall after the game shows the team is moving in the right direction despite the loss, "This is a young team that is still learning how to play consistent hockey. We have players who need to play more consistently as well. Playing Friday night and again Saturday afternoon is a quick turn-around, but both teams had to do it. We got outworked today, and therefore don't have much to show for it."
