The tennis team dropped a heart-breaker Friday evening against St. Thomas. Poised for a win, the Wildcats lost two singles matches in very close tie-breakers, which was just enough for the Tommies to edge St. Kate's 5-4.  "Girls fought extrmely well with good energy," stated Coach Hageseth after the match. "We're looking forward to keeping our play at a high level against Mac and beyond."

The Wildcats didn't take long to establish that high level of play Saturday afternoon against Macalester, sweeping the doubles matches in convincing fashion. Their solid play continued with singles, winning 5-1 en rout to their 8-1 win. Coach Ben Hageseth was pleased with the teams performance, "Bounced back awesome today. Everyone contributed to thte win and it was a hard fought match up and down while keeping the momentum going with a lot of energy and great play."
