The St. Kate's struggles continued Wednesday night in Winona as they took on the Cardinals. The Wildcats kept it close until 7:52 left in the first half when St. Mary's defense and offense stepped up, closing out the half on a 18-0 run.
St. Mary's advantage showed throughout the game in the paint, scoring 20 points to the Wildcats' six. The other statistical area the Cardinals capitalized on is points from their bench, outscoring the St. Kate's bench 11-0.
