Bethel squeaks past St. Kate's with back-to-back 3-2 wins

Megan Killmer
For the second time this weekend the Wildcats lost 3-2 to Bethel. This time, the game winner came at 3:26 in overtime on a shot from the blue line that was tipped and found its way past the St. Kate's goalie.

The Royals and Wildcats were very evenly matched, which proved true in the statistics as well as the scoreboard. Shots on goal Friday, BU-30, SCU 27. Shots on goal Saturday, BU-32, SCU-30. Both days found Bethel netting one power play goal with St. Kate's unable to convert on the power play.

Megan Killmer scored one in each game to lead St. Kate's on the weekend. Hallie Paschke and Kelsey Abrahamson notched the other two Wildcat goals.

Head Coach Marshall stated after the second heart-pounding game, "today went as expected. We knew it would be another close game. Both teams played pretty well, it's just frustrating to lose the way we did."

The Wildcats area back on the ice Friday and Saturday in Moorhead when they take on Concordia College.
