Ths Wildcats played a solid first half Saturday afternoon in the
Butler Center against the Pipers. With 1:06 left in the first half, Hamline had a three point lead. St. Kate's did a great job of moving the ball around and finding open players for uncontested shots, limited their turn-overs and did a good job on the boards to keep things close. Hamline closed that half with five straight points ending up 33-26.
The Pipers came out after the half, picking up where they left off. With ten minutes left, the lead had stretched to twelve.
Adele Simerson-Wallfred led the way for the Wildcats, posting a double-double on the day by pulling down eleven rebounds and adding fourteen points and a blocked shot.
Sarah Mong also had a solid day, with thirteen points, three rebounds, two assists and a steal.
