Turn overs plague Wildcats in 50-78 loss at Bethel

The St. Kate's basketball team played a solid first half Wednesday evening at Bethel University.  Battling the whole twenty minutes, to find themselves in good position at halftime, tied at 23-23.

The second half would prove too much for the Wildcats as the Royals would take advantage of turn overs. St. Kate's would commit 30 turn overs in the game and Bethel would capitalize, scoring 28 points off turn overs in the second half alone.  The two teams were close in almost every other statistical category.  Shooting percentage, SCU - 37.3%, BU - 36.3%. Blocked shots, SCU - 6, BU - 7. Rebounds, SCU - 41, BU - 47. 3-point percentage, SCU - 25%, BU - 28%.

Sarina Baker posted a game-high in scoring with 22 points (9/18 from the field). Baker added four steals and 14 rebounds (also a game high). 

St. Kate's is back in action Friday afternoon when they take on Augsburg College in the Butler Center at 3:00 p.m.
