The St. Kate's basketball team battled Wednesday night. After starting off slowly in the first half (down 11-0), they worked to cut the lead to four  at the 14:51. By halftime Macalester had stretched the lead to fifteen, leading 46-31.

The Wildcats played extremely well to start the second half, scoring the first fourteen points of the game to cut the lead to a single point with 15:41 on the clock.  Unfortunately, that would be as close as they would get to the Scots. The lead gradually increasing throughout the remainder of the half. Final score, 79-62 Macalester.

Megan Zillmer had a solid outing for St. Kate's, leading the team in rebounds with six, scoring nine points and picking up one steal. Sarina Baker once again led the team in scoring, knocking down 27 points, including four 3-point shots.  The Wildcats shot 47.2% from the field and 35% from 3-point range. Conversely, the Scots shot 47.1% from the field and 8.3% from range.
