On a night when hockey needed extra time to decide a winner, the St. Kate's basketball team needed more than just one overtime. In the process of battling through two overtime periods as well as setting school records in most points scored in a single game by a team (100), most points by an individual (32) by
Jule Muegge and best free throw percentage in a game, also by Muegge (10-10), the Wildcats couldn't finish off the Pipers. Final score in the epic battle, 100-106.
Four Wildcats scored double-digit points,
Adele Simerson-Wallfred along with scoring 16 points, pulled down 10 rebounds for the only double-double on the night by a Wildcat.
Not only was the scored tied at the end of regulation, it was knotted at halftime as well. A very exciting game to watch, for sure. St. Kate's hopes to continue this offensive potency on Monday evening when they play host to Concordia College at 6:00 p.m. in the
Butler Center.
