The Wildats started out on a high note, beating St. Scholastica 69-63 in St. Joseph at the MIAC-UMAC crossover tournament.  First year player Jule Muegge led St. Kate's with 25 points including 4 of 6 from 3-point land. 

Two other first year players had big nights for the Wildcats. Sarina Baker scored 14 and added 5 rebounds and 3 steals while Kerrick Sarbacker chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds.  Senior Megan Zillmer led St. Kate's with 7 rebounds on the night and added 2 steals and 2 assists.

St. Kate's was consistent from the floor, shooting 36.5% on the night and 37.5% from beyond the arc. St. Scholastica shot 39% from the field and 33% from 3-point line.

St. Kate's takes the floor again tomorrow at 1:00 p.m.
