There is no denying that the Wildcat basketball team has heart. They work hard every game. They hold the lead in the vast majority of the games they play. Unfortunately, heart and effort doesn't always mean a "W." Their struggles continued Saturday as Hamline pulled away down the stretch in the second half, winning 76-67.
St. Kate's was lead by
Sonja Ellingson with 18 points (3 steals and 3 rebounds), followed by
Laura Kalbfell who chipped in 16 points (7 rebounds and 3 boards).
Megan Zillmer was a force on the boards, pulling down a game high 11 rebounds and adding 13 points.
The Wildcats are back on the court Monday night in the
Butler Center at 7:30 p.m. when they host Carleton College. Come cheer them on!
