After leading at halftime 31-30, and battling most of the second half to keep it close, the Wildcat's ran out of steam offensively being outscored 11-2 in the last three minutes of play. The 71-58 loss brings SCU to 4-12 overall (3-10 MIAC).

Laura Kalbfell led all scorers with 26 points. She also had seven rebounds, two blocks and three steals.  Sonja Ellingson finished with 15 points, four boards and three blocks in another solid effort.

Macalester was led by Jessica and Shannon Rene, who each put up 13 points.  The Scots shot 44% from the field in the second half, to the Wildcats' 35%. 

SCU's next game comes Saturday at the Butler Center against Hamline University at 3:00 p.m.
