Basketball struggles to find a rhythm against MIAC leading St. Ben's team

St. Benedict came out strong and didn't let up Wednesday night as they beat the Wildcats 90-50 in St. Joseph, MN.  The Blazers came into the night leading the MIAC with a 11-1 record in the conference and 14-1 overall. Shooting over 51% from the field in the game and almost 60% from the 3-point line were big reasons why.  SCU shot 30% from the field and 20% from range.

The Wildcats were led by Laura Kalbfell with 16 points and Sonja Ellingson who added 14 points and a game high 8 rebounds.

St. Kate's hopes to regroup before taking the court Saturday afternoon at 3:00 pm when they take on Augsburg College.
