Basketball can't hold on in overtime at Concordia

The Wildcats battled back after trailing 22-28 at halftime to take the lead at a couple different points in the second half. The seesaw match continued until the buzzer sounded to end regulation with the score knotted at 64 apiece.  In the overtime period, the Cobbers were too much, outscoring St. Kate's 10-3 for the victory.

Laura Kalbfell had a game high 28 points for St. Kate's.  Megan Zillmer had a game high 12 rebounds to go along with her 8 points and 2 assists. Sonja Ellingson added 13 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 assists. 

St. Kate's is now 4-9 overall and 3-7 in the conference this season.  Concordia (9-4/7-3) was led by Lindsey Schultz with 19 points and 11 boards. 

The Wildcats take the court again Wednesday night at the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, MN at 7:30 p.m.
