The Wildcats tied the score 4-4 in the top of the sixth inning when Katie Allen singled to score Frank, who reached base earlier on an error. However, Northwestern came right back, grabbing a 5-4 lead in the bottom of the sixth with a manufactured run.
In dramatic fashion, St. Kate's started their comeback rally that broke the game open in the top of the seventh inning. With the bases loaded, Frank drove a sacrifice fly to right field to score Cassie Rooney. Pitcher Megan Kriechbaum helped earn herself a win by driving in two runs by singling to left field, bringing home Clark and Kelsey Luedtke. St. Kate's shut out Northwestern in the bottom of the inning to take the 7-5 win.

With the bases loaded after singles by Kelsey Adair, Ann Schmitz, and a fielder's choice by Beth Freier, Cassey Rooney singled through the left side to bring two runs home. The comeback proved to be enough, as the Wildcats took the Eagles out 1-2-3 in the bottom of the inning for their second win of the day.
