The Wildcat softball team lost a pair of games to host Gustavus Adolphus Thursday afternoon. St. Kate's lost the first game 15-1 and the second 12-0.

Kelsey Luedtke got the Wildcats off to a fast start, ripping a triple to right field in the top of the first inning. Heidi Sande brought Luedtke across home plate, hitting a double to center field as St. Kate's took a 1-0 lead. Unfortunately that would be the Wildcats' final lead of the game, as the Gusties scored 4 runs in back-to-back innings on their way to a 15-1 game one win. 

Game two did not get any easier for the Wildcats, as they were limited to just one hit in five innings of play. Gustavus put up 8 runs in the second inning and rode that momentum to the 12-0 win.

St. Kate's looks to rebound on Saturday, April 10th when they travel to Bethel for a doubleheader, with the first game starting at 1:00 p.m. The Wildcats' next home game is on April 20th at 4:00 p.m. against St. Olaf.
