Coming off of a loss to St. Thomas, the St. Kate's tennis team defeated UW-River Falls 6-3 on Wednesday afternoon in a nonconference matchup. The Wildcats have now won three of their last four matches.
The Wildcats swept doubles, with Martha Ginder and Michaela Burroughs teaming up for a 9-7 win at the #1 spot. Danielle Munsterman and Kasie Rust won 8-1 at the #2 spot and Kalyn Schroeder and Bethany Gapinski took an 8-5 win at #3 to complete the sweep.
Gapinski, Schroeder, and Munsterman recorded wins at the #4, 5, and 6 singles spots, respectively, to complete the Wildcats' 6-3 win.
St. Kate's plays their final match of the season on Friday, April 30th, hosting St. Olaf at the SCU tennis courts at 4:00 p.m.
