The St. Kate's basketball team beat Carleton after trailing at halftime by two. The Wildcats found a groove and outscored the Knights 40-28 in the second half to pick up a solid conference victory.
Laura Kalbfell and
Sonja Ellingson both put up double-doubles in the win. Kalbfell posting a game high 23 points, and adding 12 rebounds. Ellingson scored 12 with 11 rebounds, respectively, while first year player
Kristen Lee added 15 points of her own.
The Wildcats not only shot for a higher percentage from the floor in the second half, but they were able to make 15 of 18 free throws in the second half to secure the win.
They take the floor again and hope to continue their winning ways Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. in the
Butler Center.
