The basketball team started off their season with a convincing 87-56 win over Central College Friday evening at the Tip-Off Tournament hosted by Nebraska Wesleyan. Laura Kalbfell led all scorers with 22 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in the game.

Four Wildcats scored double digits in the win. Cristin Haase scored 16, Megan Zillmer added 11, and Andrea Gould put in 18. Kristin Lee lead the team with 7 assists on the night.

The team shot an incredible 61% from the field in the 31 point route of the Dutch.

With the win St. Kate's will play in the tournament title match at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, facing the winner of the Nebraska Wesleyan vs. Martin Luther game.
