Sam Levercom has been named St. Kate's Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Wildcat Invitational Tournament this past weekend.

Against UM-Morris Sam had an assist and used her speed to constantly put pressure on the Cougars defense as the Wildcats picked up a 5-1 win. In Sunday's championship game Levercom scored a spectacular goal in the second half to force a tie. On her goal she raced passed a defender and fired her shot just inside the far post to give the Wildcats a share of the tournament title.

The three point scoring outburst were Levercom's first points of the season, and helped the Wildcats improve to 2-1-1 after the opening weeks of the season.
