Nina Lindquist has been named Wildcat Athlete of the Week for her outstanding play with the St. Kate’s volleyball team.

Last week Lindquist was named MIAC Setter of the Week after averaging 13 assists per set in the Wildcats victories over Gustavus and Bethel.

She continued that high level of play as she picked up 56 set assists and 10 digs in the Wildcats thrilling five set battle with St. Mary’s University. She concluded her week of strong play as she helped the team to a great finish at the Titan Tussle. In the nine-team tournament, with four nationally ranked opponents, the Wildcats finished tied for fourth with a 2-2 record.

Lindquist is a first year student and studying Business Management and Marketing.

The wildcats play at Augsburg on Wednesday, 10/21/09 and host St. Thomas on Friday 10/23/09.
