Jordyn Wentzel collected four record finishes at the Women’s Quadrangular on March 6 & 7 resulting in earning Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Athlete of the Week. The junior standout claimed the St. Kate’s and MIAC records in the 200-yard individual medley with a lifetime best time of 2:00.94, good for the top-time in Division III. The other records came in the 400-yard individual medley resetting her own program record and the MIAC record that was held by a Carleton swimmer since 2017. Her lifetime best finish of 4:21.34 in the 400 IM is also the top-time in Division III. In addition to claiming the titles in the 200 and 400 IM, Wentzel was the top-finisher in the 100-yard backstroke with a lifetime best time of 56.20. Wentzel’s backstroke time stands as the top time in Division III this season. The All-American swimmer also appeared in three first place relay events over the two-day event, all of which were top-four times in Division III. This is Wentzel’s first Fleur-de-lis Award this year and sixth of her career.
