Senior captain MacKenzie Ess earns her first Fleur-de-lis award since its introduction in the fall of 2017. Aside from leading her team in points this season with seven, Ess has dedicated her focus to mentoring the younger players on the team. Ess has also taken on the responsibility of organizing team functions and meals while also sitting in on player/coach meetings. Her leadership skills have improved since the beginning of the semester as she works tirelessly to see the hockey program continue to improve off the ice and in the locker room.
