I'm proud to be a Wildcat because: I'm part of a school and program that strives to be successful and make a difference. 

2017-18: As a junior, Ess played in all 25 games for St. Kate's and was one of the teams top defenders during the season. She led the Wildcats in power play goals (4) and was fifth on the team in total points (9). 

2016-17: In her sophomore season, Ess played in 25 games for St. Kate's and tallied five points. She scored the first goal of her collegiate career in the Wildcats 3-3 tie against Gustavus on January 13

2015-16: In her first season with St. Kate's, Ess played in 16 games and tallied one assist in the Wildcats 3-1 win over St. Olaf on January 29. 

High School: At Apple Valley, Ess earned all-conference honorable mention twice and was an assistant captain as a senior. 

Personal: Ess chose to attend St. Kate's because of the staff and ability to achieve academic goals. She plans to major in biology. She is daughter of Kimberley Ess and Gregory Ess.
