Nichole Berndt (Dance): Berndt earned the first Fleur-de-lis honor of her career for her leadership qualities both in and out of competition. Berndt is a junior captain for St. Kate’s dance team and has made a huge impact on the team this 2017-18 season. In the first few months of the season, Berndt has demonstrated leadership qualities by leading through example and helping her teammates understand the skills and choreography of routines. Berndt also is extremely successful in the classroom and has shown the importance of balance between athletics and academics.

Danica Cambrice (Basketball): Cambrice was named a Fleur-de-lis award winner after her outstanding athletic accomplishments over the past week. Cambrice was St. Kate’s basketball’s most consistent performer in the opening week of the season, as she averaged 20.0 points and 8.7 rebounds in three games. In the season opener against Northwestern, Cambrice scored a career-high 21 points and pulled in a team-leading 12 rebounds for her first double-double of the season. The sophomore forward was also spectacular at the Lewis and Clark Tip Off Tournament, as she scored 18 points and pulled in six rebounds in the Wildcats first game before scoring 21 in the second game against Linfield. Cambrice is the second basketball student-athlete to earn Fleur-de-lis honors this season.
