Steffanie Jurusik has been chosen as this week's Athlete of the Week after her impressive performance this weekend at the Wildcats' first swim meet of the season. Jurusik was the top finisher for St. Kate's in four out of five events she competed in.
Jurusik dominated in the 100 butterfly, 100 back, 100 IM, 100 breaststroke, and 100 freestyle. At the end of the day, she had tallied a total of 199 points.
The Wilcats easily won the meet, scoring 2082 points and proving that they are ready for the competition the rest of the season. They travel to St. Thomas next weekend for a relay meet.
